Installed on the intake side of the pump, check valves self-close if the pump stops. This has the effect of preventing oil injection (by suction with air passage) into the pump body when the pump is stopped, a primary cause of damage at the time of start-up. Check valves can also be used to keep a certain vacuum level in a facility (vacuum system, tanks, autoclaves, etc.) Advantages - Bronze material with oil-resistant gaskets - Horizontal (VRH) or vertical (VRV) operation
