NOVACOM BSA Back Blow-off Air Nozzles
Efficient cleaning of pipes, tubes and ducts using compressed air.
NOVACOM BSA back blow-off air nozzles are designed for industrial cleaning operations requiring high blowing power and automatic progression inside pipes, tubes, ducts or pipelines.
Thanks to their backward-oriented orifices, they simultaneously generate a cleaning effect and a propulsion force, facilitating their movement through hard-to-reach areas.
Available in several diameters and materials, BSA nozzles provide an effective solution for removing dust, chips, residues, liquids and other contaminants from industrial networks.
Operating principle
The BSA nozzle is equipped with several backward-oriented orifices. When supplied with compressed air or water, depending on the model, the jets generate a thrust that naturally propels the nozzle through the pipe while loosening and removing contaminants from the walls.
Unlike air-amplifying nozzles, the BSA nozzle directly concentrates the fluid energy to provide high cleaning power.

* NOTE: The measurements shown in this technical data sheet were carried out in a laboratory under strictly controlled conditions. It is important to note that conditions in a real industrial environment may differ and that pressure instability from an industrial compressor could result in values different from those obtained in the laboratory. This data is provided for information purposes only. To achieve optimum performance from the rotary blowing nozzle, we recommend a compressed-air supply hose with a minimum internal diameter of 12 mm.

This technology makes it possible to:
- ensure automatic progression through pipes;
- improve cleaning efficiency;
- remove deposits and residues;
- reduce manual intervention;
- speed up maintenance operations.

Advantages of BSA back blow-off air nozzles
Automatic propulsion:
the backward-oriented jets generate thrust that facilitates the movement of the nozzle inside pipes.
Enhanced cleaning:
the power of the jets effectively loosens and removes contaminants from pipelines.
Reduced intervention time:
cleaning is faster and requires less manual handling.
Optimised air consumption:
the efficiency of the backward jet enables compressed air to be used more precisely during cleaning operations.
Simplified maintenance:
reducing manual intervention improves operator safety and limits downtime.
Construction
NOVACOM BSA back blow-off air nozzles are available in several diameters and materials to suit different types of pipes and industrial environments.
- Aluminium or stainless-steel body depending on the model
- Stainless-steel version available for demanding environments
- Good corrosion resistance
- Several diameters available
- Robust design for industrial use
Use with compressed air or water
Depending on the model, BSA nozzles can operate with compressed air or water.
- Compressed air: blowing, drying, cleaning and residue removal.
- Water: pipeline cleaning and maintenance operations, mainly with compatible stainless-steel models.
This versatility makes it possible to adapt the solution to the type of contaminant to be removed and the constraints of the industrial site.
Operating conditions
Pressure ranges and technical specifications vary depending on the selected model.
To ensure optimum performance:
- use a clean fluid;
- observe the recommended pressures;
- select a diameter suitable for the pipe;
- check material compatibility with the environment;
- follow installation and safety instructions.
Safe operation
Like all pressurised cleaning equipment, BSA nozzles must be used in accordance with applicable safety regulations.
It is recommended to:
- wear suitable personal protective equipment;
- protect against projected particles or liquids;
- maintain a sufficient safety distance;
- never direct the jet towards a person;
- follow the site's operating procedures.
Application examples

Industrial pipeline cleaning:
removal of deposits from production, transfer or evacuation pipes.
Chip removal:
removal of chips and residues from pipes or industrial equipment.
Technical duct cleaning:
cleaning long or hard-to-reach ducts thanks to the propulsion force.
Pipe drying:
removal of residual water after washing or maintenance.
