In this case, the other suction cups will detach (installation with a centre ejector) or the air consumption will be very high. This problem can be avoided by installing a check valve on each suction cup to cut off the flow between the ejector and the suction cup when the flow is too high. In other words, a check valve is used when a series of different size objects needs to be handled and the flow on the suction cups cannot be detected or stopped mechanically.
